Introduction: FLT3 ligand is a receptor for the tyrosine kinase known as FMS-like Tyrosine Kinase-3, has a tyrosine-protein kinase activity and a growth factor that regulates proliferation of early hematopoietic cells. Flt3-Ligand synergizes with other CSFs and interleukins to induce growth and differentiation. Flt3 ligand promotes long-term expansion and differentiation of human pro-B-cells in the presence of IL-7 or in combination of IL-7 and IL-3. Human Flt3-Ligand can stimulate the proliferation of cells expressing murine FLT-3 receptors.

Description: Recombinant mouse Flt3-Ligand protein produced in E. coli is non-glycosylated, polypeptide chain containing 144 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 16.43 kDa.

Physical Appearance: Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Formulation and Solubility: The protein was lyophilized with 10mM sodium phosphate pH7.5. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Flt3-Ligand in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability: Lyophilized Flt3-Ligand should be stored desiccated below -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).

Purity: Greater than 98.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
